Insights
Insights is the analytics module built into the Spraed mobile app. It gives Business administrators and Merchants a structured view of program performance through KPIs and data distributions, organized across four tabs: Overview, Customers, Transactions, and Benefits.
Access
The Insights module is available exclusively in the Spraed mobile app. It is visible to Business and Merchant users. Merchants see data derived from activity at their own store or stores only.
Observation periods
Every insight is calculated over a selected observation period. The available periods are:
| Period | Description |
|---|---|
| This Week | Days elapsed in the current ISO week (Monday to now), compared to the same span in the previous week |
| This Month | Days elapsed in the current calendar month, compared to the same span in the previous month |
| Last 7 days | Rolling 7-day window ending now |
| Last 30 days | Rolling 30-day window ending now |
| Last 90 days | Rolling 90-day window ending now |
The default period is Last 7 days.
This Week vs Last 7 days are not equivalent. If you open the app on Wednesday at 14:00, This Week covers Monday 00:00:01 through Wednesday 14:00 of the current week, compared against the identical window the previous week. Last 7 days covers the 7 calendar days immediately preceding the current moment.
The same distinction applies between This Month and Last 30 days.
How metrics are updated
Insights are typically available within 30 minutes of a transaction being recorded. Updates may be faster depending on current system load. Insights are not real-time but reflect recent activity with minimal delay.
Current vs previous period
Most KPIs and distributions display two values side by side: the result for the selected period and the result for the equivalent preceding period. This allows you to assess trends at a glance without running separate queries.
Metric types
Spraed surfaces two types of metrics:
KPIs are single-value measures that summarize a specific aspect of performance, such as the total number of new customers or the average transaction value. Each KPI card shows the current value, the previous period value, and a percentage change indicator (green for positive, amber for negative). Tapping a KPI card opens a detail view with a line chart showing the trend of both series over the selected period.
Distributions show how values are spread across a dataset. For example, a distribution might show transaction volume broken down by day of the week. Distribution cards show the top-ranking value for the current and previous periods, alongside a bar chart with all groups. Distributions are not interactive beyond the card view.
