Settlements
A settlement file contains the payment instructions needed to financially reconcile transactions between the Business and its participating merchants. Settlements are only produced for Coalition programs.
What a settlement file contains
Each settlement file is an XML document formatted according to the SEPA credit transfer and direct debit standard. It lists the individual debit and credit instructions to be applied to each merchant's account to settle the transactions processed during the preceding week.
Processing the settlement file moves the corresponding transactions from Pending to Settled status for all involved parties.
Who has access
Settlement files are accessible to the Business administrator only. Individual merchants do not have direct access to the settlement file.
Schedule
Settlement files follow the same weekly cycle as statements. A new file is generated automatically during the early hours of Monday morning, covering activity from the preceding week.
Processing a settlement
Spraed supports two settlement paths:
Automatic settlement via payment gateway integration. When this is active, Spraed submits the payment instructions directly to the connected payment gateway. Transactions are reconciled automatically with no manual intervention required. This is the recommended approach.
Manual settlement via corporate banking. When a Business prefers to use its own banking infrastructure, the settlement XML file can be downloaded from the app and imported manually into the Business's banking platform. The file follows the standard SEPA format accepted by major banking systems.
When the manual banking path is used, reconciliation requires importing the outcome file produced by your bank back into Spraed. This step is currently handled by the Spraed support team and is not available as a self-service operation. Contact support to initiate a reconciliation.
Accessing settlement files
Settlement files are available in the Spraed mobile app under the program page, in the Settlements section. Each file can be downloaded directly from the app.
