Days of validity

The days of validity constraint restricts a promotion to specific days of the week. On days not selected, the promotion does not appear in the participant's list and cannot be applied.

How it works

You select one or more days of the week on which the promotion is active. The promotion remains within its overall validity period (start and end date) but is only usable on the selected days within that window.

For example, a promotion valid from 1 June to 30 June with days of validity set to Saturday and Sunday will only be available on weekends during that month. On weekdays it will not appear in the participant's app.

If no days are selected, the constraint is inactive and the promotion is available every day within the validity period.

When to use it

Days of validity is the primary tool for creating weekend promotions, weekday-only offers, or campaigns tied to specific recurring days such as a market day or a weekly happy hour.

It is also useful for managing promotional load across the week. If you expect high transaction volume on certain days, you can concentrate the promotional incentive on quieter days to balance traffic.

Combine with time ranges

Days of validity and time ranges can be configured together. A promotion restricted to Thursdays between 17:00 and 20:00 creates a very targeted aperitivo-hour campaign, for example.
