Communication
The communication section of a promotion covers all the elements used to present the campaign to participants and distribute it across channels. None of these elements affect the mechanics of the promotion itself -- they determine how it looks, whether participants are notified, and how easily it can be shared.
All communication elements are optional. A promotion without any communication configuration is still fully functional -- it will appear in the participant's list on the Your card screen -- but it will have no visual identity and participants will not be proactively notified about it.
Available elements
| Element | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cover image | The visual identity of the promotion, shown in the participant's list |
| Push notifications | Direct notification sent to participants' devices to announce the promotion |
| Social links | A shareable link that can be distributed via social media, messaging apps, or email |
| Terms and conditions | The legal or commercial terms governing the promotion |
Recommended approach
A promotion is more likely to be used when participants know it exists and understand what it offers. At a minimum, configuring a cover image and a push notification significantly increases visibility. Adding a shareable link allows the promotion to reach participants who might not regularly open the app.
Terms and conditions are recommended whenever the promotion has specific restrictions that participants should be aware of before opting in -- particularly if constraints such as minimum spend or time ranges are in place.
