Points Burning Rules
This page describes the redemption configuration for points programs.
Configuration fields
Minimum transaction amount
The minimum purchase value required for a member to apply points. Set to 0 for no minimum.
Maximum cart percentage
The maximum share of the total transaction that can be offset by redeemed points. Set to 0 for no limit.
Partial usage
Controls whether members can redeem a portion of their points balance, or must redeem in fixed increments.
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Yes | Members can redeem any amount of points up to their balance (within other limits) |
| No | Redemption is applied in fixed increments defined by the converter |
Points-to-money converter
Defines the exchange rate between points and currency. You can configure one or more conversion tiers.
Each tier maps a number of points to a monetary discount.
Example tiers:
| Points | Discount |
|---|---|
| 100 | €2.00 |
| 250 | €5.00 |
| 500 | €11.00 |
Multiple tiers let you create a volume incentive: members who save more points get a proportionally better rate.
If partial usage is enabled, members can redeem any number of points using the proportional rate. If disabled, members must redeem points in exact increments matching a configured tier.
Example configuration
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum transaction amount | €5.00 |
| Maximum cart percentage | 40% |
| Partial usage | Yes |
| Converter | 250 points = €5.00 |
With this configuration, a member with 500 points and a €30.00 purchase can apply up to €10.00 in discounts (40% of €30.00 = €12.00, but 500 points = €10.00 based on the converter).
