Cashback Burning Rules
This page describes the redemption configuration for cashback programs.
Configuration fields
Minimum transaction amount
The minimum purchase value required for a member to apply cashback. Set to 0 for no minimum.
Maximum cart percentage
The maximum share of the total transaction that can be offset by cashback. Set to 0 for no limit.
Example: with a 50% cap, a member spending €20 can apply at most €10 in cashback, even if their balance is higher.
Partial usage
Controls whether members can redeem a portion of their cashback balance, or must redeem a fixed amount.
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Yes | Members can choose any amount up to their balance (within other limits) |
| No | Redemption is applied as a fixed amount defined by other rules |
Enabling partial usage gives members more flexibility and is generally perceived positively. Disabling it simplifies the transaction flow.
Minimum redemption amount
The minimum cashback amount a member must apply in a single redemption. Set to 0 for no minimum.
Example: set to €1.00 to avoid single-cent redemptions that add operational overhead with minimal value.
Example configuration
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum transaction amount | €10.00 |
| Maximum cart percentage | 50% |
| Partial usage | Yes |
| Minimum redemption amount | €1.00 |
With this configuration, a member with €8.00 cashback balance making a €25.00 purchase can apply between €1.00 and €8.00 in cashback (limited to 50% of €25.00 = €12.50, but also limited by balance).
