Extra Fixed Reward

The Extra Fixed Reward adds a flat benefit to every transaction where the promotion is applied, regardless of the amount spent. The participant receives the same additional benefit whether they are spending €10 or €200. This makes it fundamentally different from the Booster, which scales with the transaction amount.

How it works​

The fixed reward is calculated independently of the transaction amount and of the earning rule result. It is simply added on top of whatever the earning rule produces.

Example with a cashback program. The program awards 5% cashback. A customer spends €40 and opts into an Extra Fixed Reward of €3:

Base benefit:         €40 × 5% = €2.00
Extra Fixed Reward:             + €3.00
Total credited:                   €5.00

Note that the extra reward is larger than the base cashback on this transaction. That is by design: the fixed value is always added regardless of how small or large the base benefit is.

Example with a points program. The program awards 1 point per euro spent. A customer spends €25 and opts into an Extra Fixed Reward of 100 points:

Base benefit:         €25 × 1 = 25 points
Extra Fixed Reward:            + 100 points
Total credited:                  125 points

The only field to set is the fixed value, expressed in the program's currency:

When to use the Extra Fixed Reward​

The Extra Fixed Reward is effective when you want to reward the act of visiting and purchasing, independent of how much the customer spends. A small purchase earns the same extra benefit as a large one, which makes this type particularly useful for encouraging repeat visits rather than driving up basket size.

Good use cases:

  • "Come back and earn a bonus" campaigns targeted at infrequent customers.
  • Promotions tied to a specific event or day where you want every participant to leave with a meaningful benefit.
  • Introductory offers for new customers where you want the first few visits to feel notably rewarding.
