Commission Splitting

The total commission can be split across up to three parties. Each party receives a defined percentage of the transaction value.

Parties

PartyDescription
OwnerThe business that operates the loyalty program. In some cases, this may be a merchant association rather than a single brand.
SponsorAn optional third party, such as a trade association, consumer organization, or external partner, that co-funds the program.
ProviderSpraed. Included when the commercial agreement between you and Spraed includes a revenue-share component.

Configuration

Each party has its own percentage field. Set a value to assign a commission share to that party. Leave a field empty or set it to zero to exclude that party from the split.

The percentages you assign to Owner, Sponsor, and Provider are independent. They do not need to add up to any specific total -- they simply represent the individual slices of the transaction that each party receives.

Example

A coalition with three commission recipients:

PartyRate
Owner0.5%
Sponsor0.4%
Provider0.1%

On a €100 transaction with 5% cashback to the member:

  • The member receives €5.00 in cashback
  • The owner receives €0.50
  • The sponsor receives €0.40
  • Spraed receives €0.10
  • The merchant's total cost is €6.00

Partial splits

You can assign a commission to only one or two parties. For example, if there is no sponsor and Spraed operates on a flat-fee model rather than revenue share, only the Owner field needs a value.
